A new electronic music experience is set to debut in Brooklyn this Memorial Day weekend as EMW Presents and ZERO Productions launch the inaugural Why Not Now?, a two-night event scheduled for May 23–24, 2026 at Industry City.
The boutique-style festival will take place within the sprawling open-air courtyards of the Brooklyn complex, transforming the industrial venue into a multi-stage electronic music destination featuring international DJs and emerging artists. Organizers say the event is designed to showcase the next wave of electronic music and creative culture while blending large-scale production with an immersive urban setting.
The two-day lineup will bring together global acts and local talent across two stages.
The opening night on Saturday, May 23 will be headlined by North London house duo Gorgon City, alongside performances from Italian tech-house producer GENESI, New York underground mainstay Linska, rising artist TOBEHONEST, and genre-blending performer Dreya V.
The event concludes on Sunday, May 24 with a headline DJ set from drum and bass duo Chase & Status. The evening will also feature the North American debut of Joy (Anonymous) B2B MPH, along with sets from UK garage pioneer Flava D and Toronto-born experimental electronic artist Bambii.
Organizers describe the event as an open-air celebration where music, lighting, and visual elements combine to create a communal environment for fans of electronic music.
“Why Not Now? invites audiences to experience the future of music in the present moment,” organizers said, framing the event as both a celebration and a platform for forward-thinking artists and sounds.
The festival will run 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Saturday and 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Sunday at Industry City, with entrance located at 2nd Avenue and 36th Street in Brooklyn. The event is 21+ only, with a valid government-issued ID required for entry.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday, March 11 at 10 a.m. ET, with general admission weekend passes starting at $149 and VIP passes starting at $289.
